Apple has recently unveiled the iPhone 17e, a new smartphone that offers significant upgrades at an affordable price point. Priced at £599, the device features a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging capabilities, a durable design, and an impressive single-lens camera. Notably, the cost is £200 lower than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
Samsung has also introduced new budget-friendly devices, the A57 and A37, starting at just £399. While these phones may not match the performance and advanced charging of the iPhone 17e, they boast a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing smoother navigation and gaming experiences compared to the 60Hz display on the 17e.
The Galaxy A57 and A37 feature large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and are designed to be water and dust resistant (P68 rating). Samsung has integrated various smart features into these devices, such as Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and advanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
Furthermore, the phones offer enhanced Voice Transcription within the Voice Recorder app, allowing users to transcribe call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text for easy reference. Samsung guarantees long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, with up to six generations of Android OS updates and security patches over six years.
Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th. The Galaxy A57 5G will be priced from £529 for the 256GB variant, while the Galaxy A37 5G will start at £399 for the 128GB model. Color options include Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, Awesome Lilac for the A57, and Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, Awesome White for the A37.
