Sam Thompson has shared that he will undergo a surgical procedure that will temporarily affect his ability to speak. The TV personality has confirmed the need for the operation later this year. During a conversation with his close friend Pete Wicks on their podcast, Sam disclosed details about the upcoming surgery. Pete also mentioned his own health issues during the discussion.
The 37-year-old former TOWIE star mentioned that he had a fall at home during the holiday season and is seeking advice regarding the incident. Sam interjected by revealing, “That’s two men who are going for surgery this year.” Pete then hinted at Sam’s future plans in music, hinting at the reason for the surgery on his vocal cords.
Sam clarified the situation by explaining that he has a cyst on his vocal cords, which requires removal, leading to a three-day period of vocal rest. According to the NHS, these nodules are benign growths that occur on the edges of the vocal cords due to prolonged vocal strain.
It is yet to be determined if Sam’s new girlfriend will accompany him during the procedure. Sam recently revealed his relationship status to Pete on a podcast episode, expressing excitement about his new romance. Sam and Talitha Balinska went public with their relationship last month and celebrated Christmas together. Additionally, Sam posted a cozy picture with his girlfriend on social media, dispelling any rumors of being single.
In a recent Instagram story, Sam shared a joyful selfie with Talitha, showcasing their happiness together. The pair looked content in the photo, with Sam adding a red heart emoji to express his affection.
