“Virgin Media Offers Free LG Smart TVs with TV Packages”

Virgin Media is offering free smart TVs in a limited-time promotion coinciding with the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup today. To kick off the event on June 11, the provider initiated an exclusive giveaway allowing customers to acquire a complimentary £250 LG Smart TV.

This offer is accessible to customers signing up for one of four Virgin TV and broadband packages, each providing a plethora of channels, a free Netflix subscription, and the possibility of adding Sky Sports and Cinema coverage. These packages include Virgin’s Cinema, Sports, Cinema + Sports, or Max Volt offerings.

Upon taking advantage of this promotion, customers can choose between receiving a 43” LG Ultra HD smart TV valued at £249.99 or a £125 bill credit, equating to several weeks of complimentary service. However, time is of the essence as customers must claim this deal before 11.59 pm on Wednesday, May 27.

Virgin’s eligible TV packages each include over 200 TV channels and a complimentary Netflix subscription. The Cinema bundle at £44.99 also incorporates complete Sky Cinema access and 362Mbps fiber broadband. For enthusiasts of football, Formula 1, and rugby, the Sport bundle at £54.99 substitutes Sky Cinema with full Sky Sports coverage.

Customers also have the option to combine both packages with the Sport + Cinema bundle at £64.99, which enhances the broadband speed to 512Mbps. The ultimate offering from Virgin, the Max Volt bundle at £76.99, features more than 230 TV channels, including both Sky Cinema and Sky Sports, along with Netflix, 1,130Mbps broadband, and an unlimited O2 SIM.

Virgin Media is providing a complimentary 43″ LG smart TV or a £125 bill credit to customers who switch to one of its Cinema, Sports, Cinema + Sports, or Max Volt TV packages by July 1.

Additionally, Virgin has introduced the new One Touch Switch initiative, streamlining the process for new customers by enabling Virgin to handle the switch on their behalf without the need to contact their current provider.

It is important to note that Virgin’s monthly prices will increase by £4 each April, a factor customers should consider when committing to the 24-month contracts. In tandem with the World Cup, Sky has launched a competing promotion, reducing its Glass smart TVs to as low as £4.50 per month from the previous £6.

This reduced price applies to the sleeker model, the Sky Glass Air, while the more advanced Sky Glass Gen 2 now starts at £11, down from £14. Elsewhere, Amazon has unveiled its rebranded Fire TV range, introducing the new model, the Ember Artline, at a discounted price of up to £320 off to rival Samsung’s The Frame TV.

In terms of customer feedback, reviewers have expressed satisfaction with Virgin Media’s TV and broadband packages, highlighting the provider’s high-speed broadband and excellent value. Positive reviews laud the smooth operational experience, intuitive functionality, and strong signal reception throughout the house.

Customers have praised the seamless transition facilitated by Virgin’s engineers and the ease of use of the controls and voice command features. While most experiences have been positive, some customers encountered minor issues during the registration process, impacting their overall satisfaction.

By choosing Virgin Media, customers have commended the vast channel selection, broadband speed, and competitive pricing, with one customer calling the switch “the best thing I’ve done.”
