Some Sky users are facing an annoying issue with the popular ITVX app. The problem started recently, causing interruptions during viewing sessions by skipping to the end of programs unexpectedly. Users have reported instances where they are abruptly taken to the end credits of a show without using the fast-forward feature on their remote control.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the ITV Player skipping ahead to the end of episodes, making it challenging to watch content. Another user, Dawn, also shared similar experiences of programs jumping to the end randomly, often occurring at the beginning or after ad breaks.
The technical glitch seems to be affecting Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q is impacted, most complaints are from users with broadband-connected devices rather than satellite receivers.
Sky employee Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that they are actively working on a solution. Kev expressed understanding of the frustration caused by the problem and mentioned that they are collaborating with ITV to address the issue promptly.
At present, users may have to tolerate the skipping problems until a fix is implemented. Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
