Hamilton and Leclerc Stand with Ferrari Amidst Leadership Directive

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc expressed their solidarity with Ferrari engineers and fans on Instagram following a directive from chairman John Elkann to prioritize driving and minimize public statements.

Last weekend brought a mix of triumphs and setbacks for Ferrari in the motorsport realm. The team secured both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships at the World Endurance Championship finale in Bahrain. Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi celebrated their victory with the No. 50 car.

However, the Brazilian Grand Prix turned into a disaster for Ferrari. Hamilton’s race was cut short when his front wing collided with Franco Colapinto’s Alpine, causing irreparable damage to his SF-25. Leclerc also faced an early exit after getting caught in an incident with Oscar Piastri and Kimi Antonelli during a safety car restart.

With both drivers retiring from the race, Ferrari now sits fourth in the World Championship, trailing Mercedes by 26 points and Red Bull by four. Elkann responded strongly to the disappointing outcome, emphasizing the need for a united front to achieve success.

In the wake of Elkann’s remarks, Hamilton and Leclerc indirectly shared their perspectives. Hamilton’s Instagram post acknowledged the setback in Brazil but underscored his unwavering determination. Leclerc echoed similar sentiments in his post, emphasizing the team’s need for unity to bounce back in the remaining races of the season.

Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to include a wide array of entertainment options, including HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, in addition to comprehensive coverage of Formula 1 and other sporting events.

The drivers’ responses and Elkann’s comments have sparked discussions within the F1 community, highlighting the challenges and aspirations of Ferrari as they navigate the competitive landscape of Formula 1.
