“Disney+ Slashes Subscription Price to £3.99/Month for Limited Time”

Disney+ has announced a special offer to compete with Netflix and HBO Max by reducing its subscription price. The promotion allows new and eligible returning subscribers to access Disney+ for £3.99 per month for three months. Normally priced at £5.99 per month, this offer essentially provides a three-month subscription for the cost of two. To take advantage of this deal, customers must sign up for Disney+ by May 6.

By subscribing before the deadline, users can secure the discounted rate of £3.99 for three months. This offer makes Disney+ the most budget-friendly major streaming service compared to Netflix (£5.99), Prime Video (£5.99), HBO Max (£4.99), and Apple TV (£9.99).

Following the promotional period, the subscription will auto-renew at the standard rate of £5.99 per month. Customers aged 18 and above can opt for an ad-supported plan at £3.99 or upgrade to the ad-free Disney+ Standard for £6.99 (originally £9.99) or Disney+ Premium for £9.99 (previously £14.99).

The higher-tier plans offer enhanced features such as up to 4K UHD and HDR picture quality, Dolby Atmos support, and up to four simultaneous streams. Sky has also begun offering a free Disney+ subscription as part of its Ultimate TV bundle, which includes Netflix and HBO Max.

Starting at £5.99 per month, a Disney+ subscription grants access to popular series like Rivals, Only Murders in the Building, and The Bear, along with a vast library of content from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and more.

This £24 monthly package includes free streaming subscriptions valued at approximately £240 per year and access to 135 channels including Sky Atlantic. Disney+ is gearing up for the second season of Rivals, a successful drama starring David Tennant that garnered significant attention in its debut season.

The upcoming Dame Jilly Cooper adaptation will premiere in two six-part segments, with the first three episodes airing on May 15. New releases currently available include The Testaments, a dystopian drama set in the aftermath of The Handmaid’s Tale, and the second part of the conspiracy-thriller Paradise.

Returning favorites like Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle, each with their own revival series, are already back on Disney+, alongside a plethora of movies and shows from Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar, such as Daredevil: Born Again and Maul – Shadow Lord.

Reality TV enthusiasts can enjoy Raising Chelsea, featuring Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo adjusting to parenthood. Disney+ is synonymous with globally beloved franchises and has received numerous positive reviews on Trustpilot.

One satisfied customer shared, “I’ve been a subscriber since its UK launch, and the experience keeps improving. The catalog is extensive, offering content for me and my family, whether it’s a series or a movie.”

Another reviewer mentioned, “I’ve always admired Disney+; while it may not have the most extensive content library, what it offers is of high quality and easy to watch. The affordability is also a plus.”

However, not all users are completely satisfied, as one reviewer expressed disappointment over the frequency of ads compared to satellite services.

On a positive note, another five-star review praised the platform’s selection, user-friendly support, ease of cancellation, and transparent practices, suggesting it as a model for others to follow.
