“Save Big at Tesco: Cracking the Code to Expire Deals”

Bargain seeker Jordon Cox has shared a method to uncover a “hidden code” that signals the impending expiration of a deal at Tesco.

Making appearances on ITV’s This Morning as the resident Coupon King, Jordon regularly imparts money-saving advice on social media platforms.

In a recent video, he elucidated that an item under the Clubcard Price promotion will display a six-digit number indicating the end date of its offer.

In his video description, Jordon explained, “Have you deciphered this code at Tesco? For an item with a Clubcard Price, search for a six-digit number commencing with 25.

By reading the numbers backward (in pairs of two), you can determine the expiry date of the offer. The last two digits represent the day, the middle two denote the month, and the first two signify the year.

“If this is an item you purchase regularly, you can track its expiration date… enabling you to plan ahead! By avoiding full price, you can save some money on your shopping trips!”

This advice coincides with Tesco’s reminder for customers to act before the end of the month to redeem £16.5 million worth of expiring Clubcard vouchers, due by midnight on November 30.

Tesco shoppers earn one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on groceries in-store or online, and for every two liters of fuel purchased at Tesco petrol stations.

Moreover, each £1 spent on Tesco Mobile, every £4 spent on a Tesco credit card, and each £1 spent via a Tesco Clubcard Pay+ debit card earn one point. To receive a Clubcard voucher worth £1.50 to use at Tesco, a minimum of 150 points is required. Presently, more than 24 million UK households are Clubcard holders.

Shama Wilson, Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director, emphasized, “We want to ensure no one misses out on utilizing their Tesco Clubcard Vouchers, especially with the current outstanding Clubcard Rewards offers. This is an ideal opportunity to redeem those vouchers.”

Wilson added, “The value of expiring vouchers is notably higher this quarter. If all expiring vouchers were redeemed on Tesco Tuesdays, it could equate to 6.6 million cinema tickets at Cineworld. Alternatively, exchanging vouchers with PizzaExpress could yield an impressive £49.5 million in reward codes for food. It’s highly recommended to check the Tesco app for any expiring vouchers.”
