Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by failing to fulfill her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup.

The investors put in nearly $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a company launched in 2021 with a mission to enhance users’ “mental fitness.” The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Delaware, claims that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, had committed to taking an active role in the company as its marketing lead. However, the investors assert that Gomez and other executives of the company did not deliver on their commitments, including the creation of a mobile application.

According to the lawsuit, Gomez allegedly signed a contract agreeing to her responsibilities but failed to fulfill them. The investors claim that the company did not have any substantial business operations and failed to meet fundamental obligations like paying employees and vendors on time.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the lawsuit. The plaintiffs state that they were unaware of the company’s challenges until they were reported in an online news article in September 2025. They are now seeking reimbursement for their investments along with legal costs.
