“Freeview Users Urged to Retune Devices After Update”

Freeview users are advised to promptly review their settings and retune their devices following the recent update rollout. The UK TV platform has introduced changes to the channel lineup and TV guide. Freeview has announced that some broadcasters are making adjustments this week, necessitating a retune to ensure channels and the TV guide remain current.

The update includes four key changes. Firstly, three existing channels have been rebranded with new names, visible in the TV guide. “That’s TV 3” (Channel 71) is now “That’s 20th Century,” showcasing music from past decades and iconic shows like “Yes, Minister,” “In Sickness and in Health,” and “The Saint.”

In addition to the rebrands, there is a new channel called “That’s Entertainment” launching on Channel 75. While program listings are not widely available yet, more details are expected soon. Freeview emphasizes that these updates are part of ongoing adjustments by broadcasters to keep content fresh and diverse.

Freeview users can expect to see these changes reflected in the TV planner. If not, a retune may be necessary by following these steps:

1. Press the menu button on your remote.
2. Navigate to settings, installation, or a similar option.
3. Enter your PIN if prompted (commonly 1234 or 0000).
4. Select “first-time installation,” “factory reset,” or “full retune.”
5. Confirm the deletion of existing channels.
6. Your device will automatically search for and store the updated channels.

While Freeview updates occur regularly, this recent update is significant, underscoring the importance of retuning sooner rather than later.
