“Yellow Alert Lifted: Severe Weather Threat Subsides in Southern Alberta”

Environment Canada has canceled a yellow alert for severe weather following a storm that swept through regions of southern Alberta. The agency warned of potential damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall as the storm progressed from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The initial warning, issued earlier on Tuesday, highlighted the risk of a dangerous thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail, which could cause destruction to buildings and trees.

A yellow watch for severe thunderstorms remained active across a significant portion of the region extending east from Claresholm to Hays and stretching south towards the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are advised to visit the Environment Canada website.
