“Teen Brother Charged with Murder in Video Game Tragedy”

A 19-year-old teenager, William Spencer, has been arrested and charged with murder in the tragic death of his 25-year-old brother, Nicholas Spencer. The incident occurred in their home in Del City, Oklahoma, where Nicholas was found with severe stab wounds. The Oklahoma City Police Department responded to a domestic stabbing call on January 18.

According to police reports, the brothers were engaged in playing a video game when William allegedly became enraged and fatally stabbed Nicholas. Master Sergeant Rob Robertson of the OCPD stated that the initial call to the police reported the stabbing, leading officers to discover Nicholas with serious injuries upon arrival.

Nicholas was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after. William was apprehended at the scene and later taken into custody on a murder charge. Authorities confirmed that the brothers were playing video games together before the violent altercation.

Sergeant Gary Knight echoed the sentiments of a “very tragic story” during a news conference, highlighting the distressing nature of the incident involving two brothers and a video game. The specific game being played was not disclosed by the police, and it remains unclear whether the parents were present at the time.

William confessed to the stabbing and has been detained at the Oklahoma County Jail on a first-degree murder charge, with a bail set at $10 million. The case is scheduled to proceed in court at a later date. Meanwhile, the OCPD has urged anyone with information related to the case to contact their Homicide Tip Line for assistance.
