Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers will experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following the recent announcement of a price hike. The majority of customers can expect a £1.50 per month rise, totaling an annual increase of £18. However, individual bill adjustments may vary for some users.
The price adjustment will take effect on February 14, 2026, marking the first time in over seven years that Sky Mobile has raised prices for customers still under contract. If customers are dissatisfied with the price increment and are within the minimum contract term, they have the option to cancel their package without incurring any early termination fees.
Notably, the cost of Sky Mobile’s social tariff, designed for low-income individuals, will remain unchanged despite the general price increase. Sky has attributed the price revision to escalating wholesale network expenses and plans to notify affected customers promptly.
A spokesperson from Sky Mobile explained, “To maintain the expected quality, service, and value for our customers, the majority of Sky Mobile subscribers will witness a £1.50 monthly bill increase starting in February. This decision was carefully considered, as we have refrained from altering mobile prices mid-contract for more than seven years.”
The price adjustments in the mobile industry are not limited to Sky Mobile, as O2 has also announced an increase of £2.50 per month for most mobile and SIM-only contract customers from April 2026. Additionally, Three mobile customers opting for a data plan of 4GB or less will face a £1.80 monthly rise from the same month, which is £0.80 higher than the current increase of £1.
Furthermore, Three customers with data plans ranging between 4GB and 100GB will experience a £1.90 monthly increase, while those with over 100GB will see a rise of £2.30 per month. Three broadband users can expect a £3.50 monthly hike starting April 2026.
Vodafone mobile subscribers who sign up for new deals after November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly increase, with Basics SIM plan users facing a £1.50 rise. Vodafone broadband customers will also encounter a £3.50 monthly price adjustment. Existing Vodafone and Three customers will observe price changes based on their current agreements.
