Police are conducting an urgent investigation following a reported sexual assault on a man at a bus stop. The victim, a man in his 30s, was allegedly approached by an unknown man from behind who proceeded to touch him before fleeing the scene.
The suspect, described as a white male wearing a blue top, grey joggers, black and white trainers, and a black cap, reportedly groped the victim’s buttocks, made a comment, and then walked away on foot. The incident occurred on Monday, October 13 at 4:15 pm, leaving the victim distressed, according to Northumbria Police.
Authorities have pursued various leads since the incident was reported and are encouraging anyone with information to reach out via social media direct message, the live chat feature, or report forms on the Northumbria Police website, or by calling 101 and quoting reference number 119439M/25.
