Mischa Barton Praises Noel Gallagher in Recent Interview

Mischa Barton recently shared her admiration for a top-tier celebrity she had the pleasure of working with. The 39-year-old actress, known for her role as Marissa Cooper on the hit show The OC, appeared in various music videos in the 2000s, including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ track “Everybody’s On The Run” in 2011.

Despite her professional ties with the British rock band Oasis and missing their reunion tour, Barton admitted she wasn’t the best superfan. Expressing her positive experience collaborating with Gallagher, she emphasized his exceptional qualities during an interview on BBC Radio 2.

Reflecting on her involvement in music videos for artists like Enrique Iglesias and James Blunt, Barton recalled the excitement of that era and the enjoyable experiences on set. She particularly highlighted the fun and unique aspects of each production, emphasizing the creativity and professionalism involved.

The OC series, which aired from 2003 to 2007, featured a dramatic conclusion for Barton’s character, leaving a lasting impact on viewers. Barton mentioned how a new generation of fans continues to discover and appreciate the show, with emotional encounters from fans in public places like airports.

Looking ahead, Barton is gearing up for her debut on the UK stage in “Double Indemnity,” building on her diverse acting portfolio that includes roles in films like “Notting Hill” and “The Sixth Sense,” as well as her recent appearance in “Murder at the Embassy.”

Planning a move to London in 2023, Barton aims to secure a role in the renowned West End theater scene, leveraging her successful return to acting with her role in the popular Australian soap opera “Neighbours.”

Born in the UK, Barton has contemplated making London her permanent residence, as suggested by those in her circle. Having gained fame from her portrayal in The OC, she ventured into the revived version of the Australian soap Neighbours, which faced potential cancellation but was saved by Amazon, leading to a fresh wave of episodes on the streaming platform.

Excited about her role as Reece in Neighbours and the show’s expansion to an international audience, Barton’s character is anticipated to bring a dynamic and captivating presence to Ramsay Street, pleasing viewers both near and far.

As Neighbours gears up for its return with a new series in August, fans can anticipate fresh storylines and engaging performances from a talented cast.
