Frustrated social media users took to various platforms to express their annoyance with the outage. One user lamented, “#Reddit is down again!” on X.
On January 18, Reddit encountered an issue where users faced errors related to posting and viewing media content. The company acknowledged the problem and later confirmed that a solution had been implemented, resolving the issue.
The day before, Reddit users also faced difficulties with posting images and signing up for accounts, resulting in increased error rates. However, this issue was promptly addressed and resolved by the company.
Reports on DownDetector indicated that thousands of users globally experienced problems with Reddit, with over 1,000 individuals reporting issues with the app since 9:27 pm. Users from the UK and the US were among those who reported issues on the platform.
