“Fugitive Prisoner Captured After Jail Escape”

A fugitive prisoner who escaped from jail has been apprehended by law enforcement authorities, as per police reports.

Kieran Cameron, aged 43, absconded from HMP Thorn Cross in Warrington, located between Liverpool and Manchester, on January 6. He was serving a lengthy prison term of 23 years for an attempted murder in Dorset back in 2016.

Cheshire Police had requested the public’s assistance in locating Cameron and advised against approaching him. However, in a recent update, the police confirmed his capture in the Hulme area of Greater Manchester. In a statement, the police declared, “We are pleased to announce the successful arrest of an individual who fled from HMP Thorn Cross.”

The authorities disclosed that Kieran Cameron was found in the Hulme region of Greater Manchester by officers from the Cheshire Police Serious and Organised Crime unit.

Cameron had been sentenced for his involvement in an assault in February 2016, during which he and another individual, Michael O’Rourke, viciously stabbed a 22-year-old man from Poole multiple times.

Court records revealed that both Cameron and O’Rourke had been targeted by a rival gang and aimed to eliminate the victim to shift blame onto their adversaries. The victim sustained severe injuries, enduring 10 stab wounds to the abdomen, neck, and back of the head during the February 2016 incident.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Halford of Bournemouth CID expressed satisfaction with the court’s sentencing decision, emphasizing the grave consequences of violent knife-related crimes. He commended the swift actions of the public who aided the victim and the medical staff at Poole Hospital for their exceptional care.
