Several individuals sustained injuries when a truck crashed into a gathering of anti-Iran protesters in Los Angeles, causing chaos and fear among the crowd. The incident involved a U-Haul truck driving through a group of demonstrators, prompting people to scatter as the vehicle advanced. Witnesses reported that the driver targeted protesters holding Iranian flags and appeared to be trying to push through the assembly. The truck displayed a large banner stating, “No Shah, No Regime. USA: Don’t Repeat 1953. No Mullah.”
The event unfolded during daylight on Veteran Avenue in the Westwood district, where numerous individuals had gathered to protest against Iran’s Islamic Republic. A witness, Susie Shoshana, captured the incident on video, expressing shock at the truck forcefully moving through the protest. Following the collision, demonstrators surrounded the truck, with some breaking the vehicle’s windows as tensions escalated.
Subsequent footage depicted police officers pulling the driver from the truck, while onlookers reacted with screams nearby. As the suspect was escorted away by law enforcement, some protesters attempted to physically confront him, leading the police to intervene and disperse the crowd to restore order.
