Industry insiders and toy sellers have shared their predictions for the hottest products to make it onto the 2025 DreamToys list. The Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll is equipped with more than 20 interactive sounds and comes with accessories like a playmat, bottle, dummy, bib, and blanket.
Children can also enjoy their very own dinosaur experience with the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex, where they can tap the eggshell to witness the dinosaur hatch and then care for and play with it. Additionally, the Wicked For Good Singing Dolls are expected to see high demand following the release of the franchise’s second and final movie this month.
Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Formula 1 is represented on the list by Lego and Mattel’s Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit, along with the Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC. The list also includes collectibles such as Dress to Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Mini Brands – Fill the Fridge Playset, and Pokemon.
Building sets have been identified as the fastest-growing category for the second consecutive year, with Lego featuring two sets on the list – Speed Champions F1 Racing Cars and the One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship. The UK toy market has reached a value of £3.9 billion, with Christmas sales projected to make up 23% of the total sales for the year.
Parents are increasing their spending on children’s gifts by 12% year-on-year, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth, as reported by market intelligence firm The Insights Family. Paul Reader, chairman of the DreamToys selection panel at the Toy Retailers Association, expressed excitement over this year’s toy selection, highlighting the range of toys designed to inspire creativity and imagination.
Melissa Symonds, executive director of UK toys at Circana, noted the positive growth in the toy market this year after a period of soft market conditions, signaling a promising outlook for toy manufacturers and retailers leading into the crucial holiday season.
