“Tragic Gas Cylinder Explosion at Pakistani Wedding”

An explosion from a gas cylinder has tragically resulted in the deaths of at least eight individuals during a wedding celebration in Pakistan. Among the victims were the bride and groom.

The incident took place at a residence in Islamabad, the capital city, on Sunday, leading to a partial collapse of the building. Seven other individuals sustained injuries as a result of the explosion.

Authorities reported that the blast occurred in a residential area at the center of the city, prompting a thorough investigation into the cause of the explosion by the police.

Deputy Commissioner General Sahibzada Yousaf confirmed that the rescue operation has concluded, ensuring that no one remained trapped beneath the debris. Sniffer dogs were utilized to locate and retrieve all victims during the search operation.

Yousaf stated, “Three houses were completely demolished, and a fourth sustained partial damage. The structural integrity of neighboring buildings is also under scrutiny to mitigate any further risks.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the loss of life and extended condolences to the families of the victims. He instructed health authorities to provide top-notch care to the injured and mandated a comprehensive inquiry into the incident. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also offered heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.

Many households in Pakistan rely on liquefied petroleum gas cylinders due to low natural gas pressure, which has been associated with fatal accidents caused by gas leaks. Police confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
