Disneyland Paris has announced the opening date for its highly-anticipated World of Frozen land, set to debut on March 29, 2026. The new area will offer a range of experiences including a fresh ride, character meet and greets, shows, and exclusive food and beverages.
I had the privilege of being among the first to preview the new Frozen land at Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World upon the opening of the Frozen section. The immersive experience begins with a snowy mountain backdrop featuring Elsa’s iconic ice palace, charming Nordic-style buildings perfect for Instagram-worthy photos, and elegant fountains adorned with icicles to capture the essence of the Frozen theme. Additionally, hidden Mickey details can be spotted throughout the park for keen-eyed visitors.
One of the highlights of the Frozen land is the introduction of a new Olaf animatronic character, interactively engaging with guests alongside Princess Anna and Queen Elsa. The lifelike Olaf moves, talks, and delights visitors, especially children, with his adorable antics. Guests can also look forward to meeting various characters such as Oaken, baby trolls, and villagers sharing quirky tales about life in Arendelle.
A vibrant daily show in the Frozen village bay will feature boats led by Kristoff and Olaf, offering guests a chance to see the princesses up close as they sail by, accompanied by sing-alongs to beloved Frozen songs like ‘Let It Go’ and ‘Show Yourself’. Food enthusiasts can indulge in a variety of Nordic-inspired dishes at the Nordic Crowns Tavern, including customizable bowl options with vegan and gluten-free choices available.
For those seeking a more upscale dining experience, The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge provides a picturesque setting adorned with princess-inspired murals. Character Dining opportunities are available, allowing guests to meet the princesses while enjoying a selection of Kir Royale and Champagne cocktails at the lounge bar, a first for the park.
Although the ‘Frozen Ever After’ ride remains under construction, it promises a gentle boat journey through enchanting landscapes from a snowy forest to the Valley of the Trolls, concluding with a spectacular view of Arendelle Bay illuminated by snowflake-shaped fireworks.
Visitors can also look forward to interactive merchandise like the Rúna troll at the Fjord View Shop, offering engaging features such as interactive responses and unique interactions within the Frozen land. The dolls, priced at €70 each, come with a map to guide users to discover secret interactions throughout the area.
The expansion of Disney Adventure World includes not only the Frozen land but also future attractions inspired by Marvel, Pixar, and The Lion King. Exciting additions like carousel and teacup rides themed after popular movies like Up and Tangled will enhance the park experience for guests of all ages.
Moreover, a new nighttime show featuring drones, pyrotechnics, and special effects will illuminate the Adventure World lake, showcasing spectacular visuals and paying homage to beloved films such as Moana. For more details, visit disneylandparis.com.
