“Enthusiastic Tennis Fan Ejected from Australian Open”

A tennis enthusiast, who gained online fame for supporting Emma Raducanu, was ejected from the Australian Open for being too disruptive. James Bray made headlines when Raducanu acknowledged him after her match victory. Throughout the game, Bray, donning an ‘Australia’ tank top, affectionately referred to Raducanu as ‘Raddo’. Despite his newfound recognition, his behavior was deemed excessive during a subsequent match, leading to his expulsion from the Rod Laver Arena.

In a video shared on his Instagram story, Bray documented the police instructing him to leave the event for 24 hours and fined him $700. He sarcastically remarked, “Unfortunately I’m being kicked out of the Australian Open because I’ve been too rowdy.” Despite his eviction, Bray found the experience amusing, filming his departure and joking about the situation.

After being escorted out, Bray expressed confusion over the incident, stating he was merely cheering for the players in a respectful manner. Tennis Australia confirmed that Bray had received warnings before his removal, citing disruptive behavior and refusal to comply with staff instructions.

Victoria Police reported that a total of 21 individuals were evicted from the event for various behavioral issues, emphasizing the overall positive conduct of attendees at the Australian Open. The authorities expressed satisfaction with the crowd’s behavior and anticipated a successful continuation of the tournament.
