Lt Gen Kyrylo Budanov, a strategic mastermind at just 39 years old, now serves as the Chief of Staff to President Volodymyr Zelensky. Budanov, next to Zelensky, is reportedly a top target on Putin’s hit list due to his consistent humiliations of the Moscow leader. His adeptness in intelligence tactics has continuously thwarted Russian operations, with his most recent success involving a clever ruse to fake the death of a key Russian militia leader sought by Moscow.
