“Topshop and Topman Set for Retail Revival with John Lewis Collaboration”

Topshop and Topman are gearing up for a significant comeback to the retail scene next year through a fresh collaboration with John Lewis. Topshop items are scheduled to be available in 32 John Lewis stores across the UK starting in February 2026, while Topman products will debut in six selected locations.

The British fashion brand shut down all its physical stores in 2021, following its acquisition by ASOS for £330 million after the collapse of Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia Group. Currently, shoppers can only purchase Topshop products through the ASOS online platform.

Despite these changes, the renowned fashion retailer recently announced its intention to permanently return to brick-and-mortar stores after hosting a successful pop-up event at Defected Records in east London. Additionally, Topshop recently relaunched its independent website.

Peter Ruis, the managing director of John Lewis, expressed confidence in the partnership’s appeal, anticipating high customer interest. Michelle Wilson, the managing director of Topshop, highlighted the positive feedback from customers eager for the brand’s return to physical stores, expecting to attract new shoppers to John Lewis.

This development follows Ikea’s acquisition of the former Topshop premises on Oxford Street. Ingka Investment, part of the retail group, purchased the Grade II listed building at 214 Oxford Street after Arcadia’s administration. Renovation work, initially set for completion by autumn 2023, faced delays due to issues such as basement water leaks.

The revamped three-story retail space offers approximately 6,000 products, with 3,500 available for immediate purchase in-store and the remainder accessible through home delivery, click and collect services, or off-site collection.
