Tennis legend Bjorn Borg reveals his battle with prostate cancer in his upcoming autobiography set to be published on September 18. The book, titled “Heartbeat,” co-authored with his wife Patricia, discloses Borg’s private struggle with the disease that he had kept confidential from the public.
Scheduled for release in various countries including the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Latin America, the Netherlands, and Italy, the launch of the book has been surrounded by secrecy. Borg has opted not to provide advance copies to the media for review and intends to limit his promotional interviews.
Although the book’s official release date is approaching, it was prematurely available on online platforms in Italy, leading to the revelation of Borg’s cancer diagnosis. Known for his dominance in tennis during the 1970s with five Wimbledon titles and six French Open victories, Borg is recognized for his elegant playing style that attracted numerous fans to the sport during the era of color television.
Gunilla Bergmark of Norstedts, the book’s publisher, expressed the significance of sharing Borg’s story and praised Patricia as the ideal person to narrate it. Sky has announced a discounted price for its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering over 1,400 live matches, including at least 215 Premier League games.
