Teen Trio Sentenced in Brutal Homeless Man Murder

Three teenagers have been sentenced for the violent death of a homeless man who was assaulted with a gin bottle following a hit-and-run incident. Eymaiyah Lee Bradshaw-McKoy, 18, Mia Campos-Jorge, 19, and Jaidee Bingham, 18, were involved in the attack on Anthony Marks, 51, leading to fatal brain injuries. After a lengthy deliberation, Bingham was convicted of murder, while Bradshaw-McKoy and Campos-Jorge were found guilty of manslaughter. The court highlighted missed chances to save the victim.

In the ruling by Judge Mark Dennis KC, Bingham received a life sentence with a minimum term of 16 years, Bradshaw-McKoy was sentenced to three years and 11 months, and Campos-Jorge was given three years and six months.

Detective Inspector Jim Barry, leading the investigation, described the murder as a brutal act connected to county lines gangs. Despite being teenagers, the trio’s involvement in drug-related violence was condemned. Their attempt to evade justice, including taking selfies after the incident, was thwarted by evidence placing them at the crime scene.

According to the Metropolitan Police, Mr. Marks was brutally assaulted by being hit with a car bonnet, chased down, stomped on, and beaten with a gin bottle in a retaliatory attack linked to county lines operations.

Emergency services were alerted by staff at King’s Cross station after finding Mr. Marks injured near the main concourse. Despite medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries a month later due to brain bleeding caused by the assault.

Mr. Marks, under police recall for a previous breach of his release conditions, recounted being attacked by individuals he knew in relation to a drug dispute. He identified the assailants as Ghost, Bingham, Bradshaw-McKoy, and Campos-Jorge.

Following the incident, Mr. Marks’ health deteriorated, leading to his transfer to prison, where he ultimately passed away due to complications from the brain injury. The tragic outcome of the assault highlighted the severe consequences of gang-related violence in London.
