“Sky Offers Free Upgrade to Essential TV Subscribers”

Sky is currently offering a free upgrade to some of its customers, allowing them to access an additional 35 channels without any extra charges. This promotion, available until October 16, automatically enhances the basic Essential TV package to the more comprehensive Sky Ultimate TV option.

Included in this complimentary upgrade are premium channels like Sky Max, Sky Crime, Sky Documentaries, U&Gold, and Comedy Central. Sky announced that Essential TV subscribers can enjoy this offer without additional fees until the specified date.

The extended channel lineup features popular shows such as the final series of Brassic and BAFTA-winning Mr Bigstuff on Sky Max. Additionally, viewers can watch programs on Sky Crime, Sky Documentaries, U&Gold, and Comedy Central. Shows like The Paper on Sky Max, The Office on Sky Comedy, as well as FBI and Fire Country on Sky Witness are also part of the enhanced package.

If you are subscribed to Sky’s Essential TV bundle, the upgrade will be automatically applied to your TV without any action required. Should you wish to continue with the enhanced content, you can choose to upgrade to Sky Ultimate TV for just an additional £3 per month.

In a similar move, Virgin Media is providing free access to various channels including Sky Kids, Cartoon Network, and Baby TV for the entire month of October. This offering allows households to enjoy programs like Pip and Posy’s Spooktacular Party on Sky Kids, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball on Cartoon Network, SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon, and Peppa Pig without the usual subscription fees. Virgin Media introduced this promotion in time for the October half-term period.
