A recent enhancement has been introduced to all Freeview households, expanding their entertainment options. A new channel, previously exclusive to premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media, has now been launched. This free addition allows Freeview viewers to enjoy TLC, a channel known for reality shows, comedy, and movies.
TLC, recognized for popular reality programs such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, is broadening its content by including sitcoms and blockbuster films. Following the update, Freeview users will have access to well-liked shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon. Additionally, movie enthusiasts can anticipate watching blockbuster titles like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Freeview has made TLC available on channel 12, although some households may need to retune their TVs to access it. As of now, TLC is accessible for viewing.
In conjunction with the TLC launch, there will be a minor channel realignment. Quest will switch from Channel 12 to Channel 17 to accommodate TLC, while Really will move from Channel 17 to Channel 44.
Despite the positive developments, Freeview has confirmed the closure of HGTV, resulting in the removal of popular programs such as My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska. Other channels that will cease operations include HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
