Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 new stores this week, with a comprehensive list of locations already confirmed. The expansion spans from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands, including the Co-op’s pioneering role as the first permanent retailer at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.

These new store openings comprise a blend of fresh outlets, franchise-operated stores, and revamped locations. It is part of the company’s commitment to investing in over 200 new and revitalized stores by 2024/25.

The recent announcement is part of the 50 stores Co-op has confirmed for launch in November and December, just in time for the festive season. The company is advocating for business-rates reform in the upcoming Budget.

Kate McCrae, Co-op’s Operations Director, emphasized the brand’s focus on establishing community-centric stores that serve as more than mere retail spaces but as local hubs that cater to community needs effectively. The company’s investment across the UK underscores its belief in the future of the high street, promoting local employment opportunities and supporting British producers.

In a bid to enhance its membership scheme, Co-op has introduced 200 new personalized offers, increased discounts, member-exclusive games, reward mechanisms, and unique deals. Members stand to save over £90 throughout October, November, and December, with monthly prize draws for every £5 spent in-store or online.

Rachel Halter, Co-op’s Director of Membership, highlighted the brand’s commitment to offering added value to its members daily. By expanding personalized offers and popular features like booster deals and in-app games, Co-op aims to deliver substantial savings and rewards to its loyal members consistently.

The retailer’s strategic moves align with its dedication to providing exceptional value and recognition to customers who choose Co-op.
