A British tourist has disappeared far from home after his last known contact was on Christmas Day via FaceTime. Mark Counsell, aged 31 and from Pontypool, South Wales, is thought to be in Thailand or the Kuala Lumpur region of Malaysia. He had been traveling in Southeast Asia and was last seen by his family during a video call on the morning of December 25. Authorities are now searching for him, with Gwent Police actively trying to locate his whereabouts.
According to a spokesperson from the police force, “We are seeking information to locate Mark Counsell, aged 31, who has been reported missing. Mark was last visible on Thursday, December 25, during a video call, as he has been exploring Thailand recently.”
Mark is identified as a Caucasian male, standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall, with an average build. He was last observed wearing a khaki Fred Perry T-shirt.
