A British couple from Leicester, Roger and Sue Topp, have chosen to celebrate Christmas in Benidorm, Spain, a place they have frequented over 100 times. They have been visiting Benidorm for over 35 years, considering it their second home due to its welcoming atmosphere and affordable prices.
The couple switched from traditional UK holidays to Benidorm due to its consistent weather and excellent value for money. They appreciate the friendliness, cleanliness, safety, and affordability of Benidorm, where they can enjoy a glass of wine for just one to two euros and a full meal for less than a typical takeaway in the UK.
Their favorite spot, the Hotel Rio Park, situated near the vibrant main strip of Benidorm, is where they will spend their Christmas this year. Flying from East Midlands Airport, they visit Benidorm around three times annually, especially during the colder British winter months.
Roger and Sue, married for 55 years, will fly to Benidorm on December 23 for their eighth visit this year. They look forward to indulging in the hotel’s Christmas feast, entertainment, and the freedom to enjoy unlimited wine and beer, reducing their holiday stress significantly.
The couple highly praises the Hotel Rio Park for its amenities, proximity to the beach, and the exceptional service provided by the staff, whom they now consider lifelong friends. When not at the hotel, they explore the golden sand beaches, the Old Town, and their favorite Chinese buffet, Puente De Oro, where they can enjoy a lavish meal for a great value.
