“Apple’s iPad Lights Up London’s Skyline with Festive Art”

In London leading up to the Christmas season, Apple’s iPad is showcasing 24 festive designs on Battersea Power Station’s iconic towers, a location also occupied by Apple in the UK. These colorful artworks were chosen from numerous submissions in Apple’s “Your Tree on Battersea” competition, featuring images projected onto the towering chimneys above the River Thames after sunset.

Participants like Varsha Simha from Canterbury expressed excitement at being selected, drawing inspiration from the cozy elements of Christmas markets during cold months. The competition also saw 7-year-old winner Miah D.B, who shared enthusiasm for creating a tree on an iPad, driven by a love for drawing and emotional inspiration.

Renowned personalities such as Kylie Minogue, Sir Stephen Fry, and others contributed drawings alongside the winners. This event continues Apple’s tradition of celebrating holiday creativity, marking the first time the company has engaged the public in such a competition. Notably, in previous years, artist David Hockney and Aardman used Apple devices for Christmas-themed artistic endeavors.

Chawawa, reflecting on the significance of hosting Apple’s inaugural iPad Christmas tree competition, emphasized the special connection to the event and the community involvement in creating digital Christmas trees across London. The festive images will illuminate Battersea until Christmas Eve, adding a vibrant touch to the cityscape during the holiday season.
