A fresh face has joined the cast of the popular soap opera Coronation Street, and fans will surely recognize the actor portraying this new character.
The storyline revolves around Shona Platt (played by Julia Goulding) who undergoes intricate surgery to save her baby daughter, diagnosed with a neck mass. In a recent high-drama episode, Shona, her husband David Platt (portrayed by Jack P Shepherd), and other residents like Tracy Barlow (played by Kate Ford) and Billy Mayhew (acted by Daniel Brocklebank) were involved in a harrowing car crash.
Following the accident, Shona experiences complications, leading to an urgent operation back in Weatherfield. Despite facing challenges due to the absence of the expected specialist surgeon, Dr. Vincent Harper steps in, traveling from Bristol to perform the surgery. Anxious about the outcome, David and Shona watch as Dr. Harper successfully conducts a tracheostomy, ensuring the baby’s breathing.
Post-surgery, Dr. Harper informs the couple that a future procedure will address the neck mass issue. Notably, John Hollingworth, who portrays Dr. Vincent Harper, is a seasoned actor with previous roles in various TV shows and movies, including BBC’s Poldark and Doc Martin alongside Martin Clunes.
