“LEGOLAND Germany to Launch Harry Potter-Themed Overnight Stay”

A new section in a theme park inspired by J.K. Rowling’s famous Harry Potter series has been officially announced, offering fans the chance to enjoy a magical overnight experience in specially themed accommodations.

LEGOLAND Deutschland in Germany has revealed a collaboration between Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences to bring the beloved franchise to life through LEGO creations.

Specifics about the upcoming attraction are being kept confidential for now, with the park set to unveil more information within the next year. Peter van Roden, EVP of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, expressed excitement about providing Harry Potter enthusiasts worldwide with a new way to immerse themselves in the enchanting world created in the films.

Since the debut of the first Harry Potter book in 1997, the franchise has expanded to include eight Harry Potter movies, three Fantastic Beasts films, a stage production, and a video game.

While existing Harry Potter-themed areas can be found at certain Universal resorts and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, where fans can explore the actual filming locations, this will mark the first Wizarding World attraction in LEGO form. Additionally, while various unofficial wizard-themed accommodations inspired by the series exist, the park will offer the first officially themed lodging.

The announcement comes as fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming HBO series scheduled to premiere in 2027. Filming began in 2025, and the show is planned to cover each of J.K. Rowling’s books over a ten-year period through multiple seasons.

The connection between Harry Potter and LEGO has a long history, with numerous themed brick sets released over the years. The initial Harry Potter LEGO set, based on the Sorting Hat, was introduced in 2001, while the massive Hogwarts set, featuring over 6,000 pieces, currently retails for £409 on LEGO’s official website.

Located in Günzburg, just over an hour from Munich Airport, Germany’s LEGOLAND park is easily accessible to British visitors via airlines like British Airways, easyJet, and Lufthansa. A short flight followed by a train and bus ride from the airport will lead you directly to the park.

The new Harry Potter section will complement the array of existing family-friendly attractions at the park, including LEGO NINJAGO World, MINILAND showcasing models of famous landmarks, Knights’ Kingdom, and LEGO X-TREME featuring thrilling rides and roller coasters.
