A male infant is currently hospitalized in critical condition as authorities detained a 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man. The child was swiftly taken to a medical facility in Cambridgeshire by emergency responders after being discovered in a perilous state.
Upon receiving a distress call at 11 am on January 3, ambulance services prompted a police response to the incident at St John’s Chase in March. Medical personnel provided immediate care at the location before transporting the infant to the hospital.
The man and woman were apprehended by officers on suspicion of causing severe bodily harm (GBH) and possessing Class B/C substances. A spokesperson from Cambridgeshire Police stated that they were alerted by the ambulance service to the serious condition of the baby boy at St John’s Chase. The infant remains in critical condition at the hospital.
Both suspects, residents of March, are being held on charges of GBH and drug possession.
