Additionally, a new channel called Cartoon Classics is now available on channel 214, offering classic animated shows like The Smurfs, Count Duckula, Sonic X, and Leo & Tig for younger viewers.
To enjoy these new channels, users are advised to update their TV settings. Freeview has announced that on October 22, 2025, some broadcasters will be making changes to their channels, requiring viewers to retune their TVs to keep their channels and TV Guide up to date.
Furthermore, Gems TV on channel 45 has been rebranded as Gemporia. Freeview has provided instructions on how to retune devices effectively:
– Press the menu button on your TV remote control or box.
– Select ‘set-up’, ‘installation’, ‘update’, or a similar option. If prompted for a password, use ‘1234’ or ‘0000’.
– Choose ‘first-time installation’ or a similar option.
– Confirm the deletion of existing channels, if required, and the retune should start automatically. Save any newly found channels, if prompted.
