The most recent update from Ofcom has revealed the current status of consumer complaints in the broadband, TV, and telecoms sectors. The report indicates an overall decrease in complaints since the beginning of 2025. Notably, EE, under BT’s ownership, ranked lowest in broadband complaints, while Plusnet, also owned by BT, received the fewest complaints.
In the broadband category, Plusnet led with only 4 complaints per 100,000 customers, followed by Sky with 6, Virgin Media with 8, and BT, TalkTalk, Now, and Vodafone each with 9 complaints per 100,000. EE registered the highest number of complaints at 10 per 100,000 customers.
Beyond broadband, Ofcom also evaluated complaints in Landline, Mobile, and Pay-TV services. Utility Warehouse excelled in landline services with zero complaints per 100,000, contrasting EE’s 8 complaints per 100,000. For TV services, TalkTalk and Sky received minimal complaints of 1 and 2 per 100,000, respectively, while EE faced the most complaints at 6 per 100,000.
However, EE saw improvement in mobile services, tying with Vodafone and Tesco Mobile for the lowest complaints at 1 per 100,000. USwitch commented positively on the overall decrease in complaints across various services, emphasizing the importance of providers delivering improved service and value amidst annual price increases. Consumers are advised to regularly compare deals and switch providers if their needs are not being met adequately.
