In Brest, France, a 33-year-old woman, who is a mother of three children fathered by her own father, has been detained before trial for assaulting a public service officer, as confirmed by authorities. The woman, who herself endured years of abuse, was put under judicial supervision recently after her 58-year-old father, with whom she lived as a ‘couple,’ was imprisoned for sexual abuse. The father admitted to sexually assaulting his daughter and coercing his son to engage in sexual activities with the mother. The abuses were reported by the Finistère Departmental Council, leading to a police investigation.
After interviews with the children—a boy aged 11 and twin girls aged eight—validated the claims, it was revealed that the household was violent and deviant. The children were taken into social services care, with the boy granted 30 days of temporary incapacity leave and the girls eight days. The mother, charged with habitual violence and corruption of a minor after her father’s arrest, was initially released under judicial supervision but has a history of violence toward public officials.
Following her recent attack on an officer, she has been placed in pre-trial detention at Brest prison alongside her father, who faces charges including aggravated incestuous rape, corruption of a minor, and habitual violence against minors. Both parents are considered innocent pending ongoing investigations. The case has gained significant attention due to the severity of the crimes and the abuse of multiple children within the same family. Public prosecutor Stéphane Kellenberger stated that investigations are still in progress to uncover the full scope of the abuse and the circumstances surrounding it.
