“PDC Supports Fallon Sherrock Amid World Championship Drama”

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has decided not to penalize Fallon Sherrock for her behavior during her recent match against Dave Chisnall in the World Championship. Sherrock playfully imitated an incident involving a drinks table that her former partner, Cameron Menzies, had previously caused a stir by punching.

Menzies, who was left injured after expressing his frustration on the table following a loss to Charlie Manby, has received assurances of support from PDC chief executive Matt Porter. Porter emphasized the importance of prioritizing the well-being of players and ensuring they have access to necessary support.

Both Sherrock and Menzies faced early exits from the tournament. Sherrock struggled with her doubles, missing 20 out of 23 attempts, leading to a 3-0 defeat by Chisnall. On the other hand, Menzies, the 26th seed, lost 3-2 to Manby despite holding leads during the match. Menzies attributed some of his struggles to personal challenges, including the recent passing of his uncle Gary.

Chisnall, after defeating Sherrock, acknowledged the competitiveness of the match and credited Sherrock for her performance despite the scoreline. The tournament progresses with upcoming matches, including Chisnall facing Ricardo Pietreczko in the next round.

Meanwhile, rising talent Beau Greaves is set to kick off her World Championship journey against Daryl Gurney, with the winner advancing to face Callan Rydz in the second round. The championship promises exciting matchups, building on the success of previous events and featuring a mix of established players and emerging prospects.
