“Alton Towers Unveils Bluey Coaster for 2026 Debut”

Alton Towers Resort has revealed plans for the world’s inaugural Bluey coaster to debut at CBeebies Land.

The new junior coaster will be based on the popular TV show Bluey, which has captivated audiences worldwide since its launch in Australia in 2018. The heartwarming adventures of the Australian dog family have charmed both kids and adults, with Bluey, the Blue Heeler puppy, and her sister Bingo bringing joy to families.

Bluey, an Emmy Award-winning show, holds the top spot on CBeebies in the UK and has been streamed over 770 million times on BBC iPlayer.

Scheduled for a Spring 2026 opening, the ride aims to bring the vibrant energy of Bluey to young fans and families. It will complement Alton Towers Resort’s existing Bluey attractions, including the Heeler family meet-and-greet and live stage show.

This coaster’s arrival follows the introduction of Bluey-themed hotel rooms in May 2024 as part of the resort’s CBeebies Land 10th-anniversary festivities.

After experiencing the Bluey coaster, fans can stay in hotel rooms designed to replicate Bluey and Bingo’s bedroom.

Bluey, created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio, joins the array of attractions in CBeebies Land.

CBeebies Land features various rides like Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, JoJo & Gran Gran At Home, Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom ride, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, Something Special Sensory Garden, and Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure.

Merlin Entertainments’ Senior Vice President, Sabrina de Carvalho, expressed excitement about the new Bluey coaster, calling it the first of its kind globally. Exact details and the launch date are yet to be disclosed, but the coaster promises to embody Bluey’s boundless spirit.

The most recent addition to Alton Towers is the Toxicator, which began thrilling visitors in March by lifting them 78ft high, spinning them in the dark, and lowering them face down over a pool of alien slime.
