NatWest is set to close 26 bank branches this month, with additional closures scheduled for later in the year. The high street bank has already shuttered two branches this week in Cwmbran and Wisbech, and will be closing two more today in Leicester and Rayleigh.
According to recent data from Which?, NatWest Group, which includes Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank, has closed a total of 1,483 branches since 2015. Customers needing in-person assistance can utilize any bank within the NatWest group for their everyday banking needs.
For instance, NatWest customers have the option to use RBS branches, and vice versa. Additionally, individuals can explore the possibility of visiting a “mobile branch,” where staff members set up temporary service locations in communities for specific days.
To facilitate services such as deposits, cash withdrawals, and bill payments, customers can also utilize Post Office facilities. A spokesperson for NatWest mentioned that a significant percentage of their active current account holders prefer digital services, while the bank continues to invest in enhancing digital offerings and providing personalized services to meet evolving customer preferences and expectations.
