“Princess Kate and First Lady Melania Trump bond with Scouts at Windsor”

During President Trump’s state visit, the focus was on grandeur and royal traditions, yet the Princess of Wales ensured that the First Lady experienced the everyday activities of the House of Windsor.

Following a formal state banquet, Melania Trump joined Princess Kate for an outdoor event with the Scouts, where they interacted with children, played games, and admired artwork. Chief Scout Dwayne Fields supervised the gathering with children aged four to six, who posed candid questions to the First Lady.

Kate and Melania actively engaged with the children, participating in parachute games, constructing bug hotels, and painting autumn leaves collected by a Squirrel Scout group from Lewisham.

Reflecting on the encounter, Fields highlighted the genuine interactions between Melania and the children, emphasizing their collaborative artwork. Melania expressed her enjoyment of the experience and the nostalgia it evoked from her youth.

Kate’s dedication to early years development and youth support organizations is well-known. Serving as the royal patron of the Scout Association since 2012, she has a history of involvement with the organization, having volunteered as a Scout leader while residing in North Wales with Prince William.
