“Three Fatal Traffic Accidents Overnight in Quebec”

Three individuals lost their lives in separate traffic accidents in Quebec overnight. In the first incident around 12:30 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to a location where a vehicle had gone off Route 132 East, near Chemin Mistral, in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, as reported in a press release from Sûreté du Québec. The driver, a 35-year-old man who was alone in the vehicle, seemed to have lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and was declared deceased at the scene. Following the accident, the road was temporarily closed but reopened by 4:45 a.m.

Later, at approximately 3:20 a.m., emergency services were summoned to a single-vehicle crash on Route 138 near Franquelin. The SQ disclosed in its statement that four individuals were inside the vehicle when the driver apparently lost control for reasons that are still unclear. One occupant was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the other three occupants are in critical condition and facing life-threatening injuries. Two out of the three lanes in the vicinity of the crash were shut down on Sunday morning.

A third car accident was reported around 6 a.m. on Route 138 in Saint-Tite-des-Caps. According to the SQ, the driver veered out of their lane, losing control as the vehicle rolled multiple times. The car had a man and a woman in their 30s inside. The woman, aged 37, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, while the man remains in critical condition.
