Exciting news for Bluey fans as a new themed rollercoaster is set to debut at Alton Towers. The popular Heeler family will be featured in this ride, offering a unique experience for both young viewers and their parents.
Known as Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies!, the rollercoaster will showcase Bluey and Bingo in their granny outfits, accompanied by the adventurous grannies Janet and Rita leading the way in their car. The ride’s title is a nod to a memorable episode from the show where the mischievous duo, disguised as grannies, embark on wild escapades.
Natasha Spence, Events Director of Live Entertainment at BBC Studios, expressed enthusiasm for bringing the beloved characters to life in this first-of-its-kind Bluey coaster at Alton Towers Resort. Furthermore, the resort will introduce additional Bluey-themed rooms at the CBeebies Land Hotel, replicating the Heeler family’s vibrant home decor for an immersive stay.
Guests can opt for the Bluey room, featuring family portraits on the walls and a bunkbed setup resembling Bluey and Bingo’s bedroom. For larger families, the Bluey suite offers a separate kids’ area and a themed playroom to spark imaginative play scenarios. Staying at the CBeebies Land Hotel also grants access to various activities, including a kids’ disco and a hearty English breakfast buffet.
